Oppose Rep. Barton's Flat-Fee Plan

The House Commerce Committee is looking at a proposal that would raise the cost of your phone bill. The bill would collect the Universal Service Fund (USF) fee using a flat-fee system, where everyone pays the same amount, per telephone number. This means that even if you hardly use your phone for long-distance calling, you will pay the same as a person or business making two, ten or a hundred times as many long distance calls as you!

Let Congress know that this is unacceptable. With the cost of gas, food and health care rising steadily, hard working Americans like you cannot afford a phone bill increase. Take action now and let your Representatives know how you feel!
